Every review on The Fitness Junkie Blog is written by an actual person who actually used the product. Here's exactly how that process works, so you know what you're reading.
Reviews are written by Sophie Summers, a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with 7 years of experience in health and fitness. You can read more about her background on the About page.
Most products featured here are sent to us as free samples by the brand — that's disclosed at the bottom of each review. We also periodically purchase products ourselves when we want to cover something independently. Either way, receiving a product for free never guarantees a positive review.
Before a review is published, the product is personally used — not just researched. That means actually trying the workout program, drinking the supplement, wearing the gear, or using the tool in real life, and writing about what that experience was actually like.
We only recommend products we'd genuinely use ourselves. If something has drawbacks — an ingredient worth flagging, an uncomfortable fit, a feature that doesn't live up to the marketing — that goes in the review too, regardless of how the product was obtained.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we choose to review or what we say about them. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Products, pricing, and formulations change. We periodically revisit and update older reviews so the information stays accurate — you'll see an updated date on posts that have been refreshed.
