Hey fitness fans! My name is Sophie Summers,
I’m here to inspire and help you live a healthier and more active lifestyle!
‍I am currently living the island life in Puerto Rico with my husband and our furry companions. I love to travel, photograph, run, hike, yoga, surf, and of course, blogging about health and fitness and sharing my knowledge and experience to help girls all over the world reach their fitness goals!
I have been struggling with my body image from a very young age. I was always shy and self-conscious about my body and as a result, my self-esteem suffered.
While I struggled with my body image in high school and college, I realized that I should stop comparing myself to models photoshopped on the pages of magazines and to work towards a healthy, fit body and pursue a lifestyle that I could be proud of.
Before I came around to accepting my body, I had tried all sorts of diets and weight loss fads that sadly, did not produce the results I was hoping for. On one occasion I went through an obsession with “cleansing” and did not educate myself properly.
I ended up miserable, starving and by the end, I had actually gained weight when I returned to my regular eating habits because my body was getting ready for another starvation period.
Today, I believe that being healthy is more than just being physically fit on the outside. It’s about your whole body, inside and out, your mind and your relationships with the outside world.
Life is all about creating balance and living a healthy lifestyle does not have to be complicated or expensive.
Today I am confident in myself and my body and practice the fitness principles I write about in this blog.
No Restrictive Diets: I think that people and the fitness culture have made weight loss and healthy living out to be more complicated than it should be. I don’t believe in restrictive diets or counting calories. I believe that connecting with your body and learning to eat for both nourishment is more powerful and it what will lead to lifelong healthy weight management.
No Counting Calories: Counting calories is a waste of time in my book. 200 calories of ice cream are not the same thing as 200 calories of broccoli. Instead, I strive for low sugar food options that are nutritious. Instead of counting calories, I keep track of macros: Fat, Carbs, and Protein.
No Gym: I’ve spent a fair share of my years obsessing over how much time I spent at the gym. While going to the gym is something that some people enjoy, I’m not one of them. I will rather be at home or outside. I stay active by hiking, running, surfing, paddle boarding and a whole assortment of fun outdoor activities! I do not think going to the gym is a requirement.
Businesses often become known today through effective marketing. The marketing may be in the form of a regular news item or half column society news in the Sunday newspaper.
The work you put into your health and fitness will be a direct reflection of what results you’ll see.
Take it one day at a time. The only person you should compare yourself to is the person you were yesterday.
You can live the life you want and look your best, it’s never too late to start over and create the lifestyle you always dreamed of, I believe in you!

There are many fitness and weight loss products on the market and not all will give you the promised results.
Be sure to check out my product reviews to get the inside scoop on which are worth the effort and which fall short of expectations. I research, purchase, or get products sent to me.
Often, companies will send me products – free of charge – to try out and share my opinions.
Regardless, I will share my honest opinion and my reviews are based on my personal opinions, knowledge, and experiences.
