You’re probably already familiar with tips such as park further away, take the stairs, or walk to your corner shop instead of drive. Still, these alone are unfortunately not enough for you to get the right daily dose of exercise.

If you can’t fit in a session at the gym, then there are plenty of other ways you can squeeze some exercise into your daily routine. Just thirty minutes of exercise a day can be enough for you to start seeing some results. Planning can help you keep to your routine that fits in with your existing schedule, and it will quickly become part of your life.

Let’s have a look at five easy ways you can add exercise to your regular routine:

Go For A Power Walk First Thing In The Morning

As early as you can in the morning, before showering, checking your emails, and other morning activities, head outside for some needed fresh air and a short power walk around your local area.

Just ten to fifteen minutes of power-walking can help to boost your metabolism and keep you refreshed first thing in the morning.

You could even do it with your partner, children, or dog.

Do Something With Your Lunch Break

If you’re able to take an extended lunch to squeeze in a gym session, that’s great, but not everyone can do this. Instead, why not use half your lunch for eating and the other half for a brisk walk?

Either can be a great way of boosting your metabolism, refreshing you for the afternoon, and keep you running in top gear for the rest of the day.

Cycle To Nearby Errands

On your weekends, instead of jumping in your car, consider making it a rule to use your bike to cycle anywhere that is less than two miles away. Whether it’s meeting your friends, heading to the market, or going to the park, cycling there and back can give you a quick burst of exercise without thinking about it.

Exercise And Stretch During Work

There are various exercises and stretches that you can do in the office, such as chair dips using your chair, leg lifts while sitting in your chairs, or walking around the office a few times while taking a break away from your screens.

You should make sure you take a ten-minute rest away from your desk every hour, so you should have plenty of opportunities to add extra exercise each day.

Fit In A Class Before You Go Home

A great way to add fitness into your everyday routine is to include it as part of your work routine. Before you go home, arrange to attend a fitness class first. This way, you don’t have time to settle in and need to find the motivation to go back out. Plus, it can be a brilliant way to relieve some stress from a busy day.

These are five ways to add fitness to your routine. Do you have any other ways you can do this? Please share them in the comments below.
